So many parts of the process that can go wrong for a certain shift/batch/machine - and this is almost a common case nowadays (Released 10 records for my own label, so I can tell you a little bit about it). I am totally speechless about people still thinking vinyl equals a CD.
Nothing against your position, but only because people have a clean copy doesn't mean there are bad copies out there. The funny thing about vinyl collecting nowadays is the frightening fact that so many people obviously know almost nothing about vinyl at all, but collect like crazy.
